Revenge of the Pothole

Posted by Andrew on Friday, March 26, 2010, In : Happenings
I'll be short, sweet and hopefully serene here...

One more outrageous pothole.

Two more (brand new) tyres claimed as victims.

Yes, you read that correctly. And you better believe it. Back right knocked off it's rim and flat; front right has a goitre (which I found amusing).

In a strange way I feel karmic effect is responsible for this. In my outburst of fury over the state of NJ roads, I have somehow had retribution exacted on me.

So I'm not questioning it. I'm not raging against it. I'm going t...

What the puck? ...and an Irish week getting Stomped

Posted by Andrew on Friday, March 19, 2010, In : Happenings

Been a mad ole couple a weeks lads and lassies. I blame the Irish - those mad to be saved, wild-eyed ones. You know them, you've seen them, at a bar near you, singing Journey songs at the top of their voice, moist, mixture of beer and tears... of joy... ahoy.

What's crazy is that hardly any of them are actually Irish! You won't believe how much America embraces the St Paddy's Day euphoria. Like full on. To the face. Smashed it.

It's been going on for two weeks now, and only came to an end on ...

Potluck

Posted by Andrew on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, In : Happenings
I fucking HATE potholes!

GEEEEEEZUS!!

Ok, feeling a little better now. Apologies to those offended by the outburst. But then again, you could always stop reading this... The thing is, I live in a State with the WORST roads in America. Kak gevaarlik! And yesterday I hit one of those canyons while changing lanes - the little bitch was about 4 car lengths long, and probably 5 deep.

BAH! Blurrgh.... psssshhhhhh......

What is that you ask?

That's the sound of a tyre bursting.

Awesome.

Luckily I was at ...

Posted by Andrew on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, In : Happenings
Have you checked Part I yet?
Jislaaik man, start from the beginning!

So, day 1 ended as a bender in Downtown Seattle. We woke up at an ungodly hour on Sunday morning with another jam-packed day ahead - at first I felt kif. But then I felt mif. Luckily this didn't last the whole day. And I wasn't the worst either. Lourens was particularly hard hit, and blamed his advanced age (3 years on me I think) for his regressed state. This didn't stop him from busting out Kurt Darren anthems for the foreig...

Sleepless in Seattle - Part I

Posted by Andrew on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, In : Happenings

I had to go there. The headline I mean. It's awesomely cheesy and convenient, but oh so true...

Five of us headed west to Seattle on Friday evening for an epic tour of the the West Coast's northern most city - home of grunge, plaid shirts, Microsoft, coffee and a vibe so awesome it hurts. Joining me for this killer weekend were Dan the photographing Dane (all the amazing Seattle pics are his) , Reimi of Malaysia, Susan Oh Canada, and Lourens from Malmesbury. A motley crew in so many ways, a ...

This past weekend we made an awesome trip to the Poconos in Pennsylvania.

10 people, 1 killer bungalow, 4 cases of beer, 12 bottles of wine, an unbelievable menu of food thanks to the girls, and 2 kick-ass days on the slopes...
