I never saw a wild thing feel sorry for itself

I never saw a wild thing feel sorry for itself
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself

A friend of mine, Erica, took the picture above. Pretty rad hey. When I first saw it posted on her book of faces, I immediately thought of the D.H. Lawrence poem below it. His ode to self-pity. This picture captures the essence like five lines of haiku. It's almost ninja like that.

It has assumed a whole new level of significance since I first saw it during ...

On your marks, get set...

Bet you thought I'd start this with 'Go!'...

So as you may have inferred, I ran a race. An organised race. It was my first one too. Pretty exciting.

The race was in Central Park. It was only a 4 mile (6.4 km), but over 6000 people gave it the feel of something a lot bigger than a casual run in the Park.

As the Saints go marching in...
The Saints won the Superbowl!
Who dat sayin they gonna beat them Saints!?! Who dat! Who dat!

Sometimes it’s a radio ad like this:

Guy 1: “Hey wait, what’s that on your desk?”

Guy 2: “It’s a McDon...

Recent times been in straight lines

Posted by Andrew on Sunday, February 7, 2010, In : Happenings
It's horribly cliched to read a blog and see someone write something like "wow, it's been so long since I last wrote". I've done it before. And I hate it. But I can't think of a better way to start this one.

It's just been that long...

The main reason for it has been the Insane Train. I'm on it. Can't do anything about it. Work has hit the Gnarls Barkley stage - working from 8 till 8 sometimes, 7 most times. But that's hectic for me. I don't normally roll the work vibe out that late.

My firm is...

 Video Vibe for the Moment

From the movie Drive

Whose site is it anyway?

Andrew Barry Some people call me the Earthman. Some people call me Baz. Some people call me Barry or Bar. And some people also like jazz. I think most of the people surfing this site know who I am. If not - read on, my friend...
